Making Save The Date Cards

Save The Date Cards, are becoming more and more popular, we seem to following American trends, and picking up on alot of international ideas when planning a Wedding.

Ok, so you have decided on a date, and the first thing you want to do is let everyone know your good news. Save The Date Cards, are a way of letting everyone share in that special excitement too. A great idea, especially for those who work to a tight schedule, we all need to book time off work, some of your friends and family may even live away from you and need to travel, so they need to plan in advance.

The cards will be a sneak preview it your theme or colour. They can also match the rest of your wedding stationery.

So when choosing your colours and design, it may a nice idea to consider using these when making your save the date cards. The most popular size to use when making these are A6 postcards. You can use our printable save the date cards, this allows you to add the details in the text box area. Making them very easy to use. All our save the date printables are set out on the correct sized card. But if you prefer to make your own from scratch you can print onto an A4 sheet and cut to the correct size.

When making save the date cards, it is best to use a nice substantial card to print them on; 250gsm-300gsm. You could use A4 size card, then print and cut them to A6, this is great if you have all the correct tools to do the job, but if you dont have the correct equipment, it is probably best best to print directly onto A6 size card.
